Ad Serving in Erlang @ CUFP 2008
Slides from my Ad Serving in Erlang talk at CUFP 2008 are available here: http://undefined.org/cufp2008/
I had a great time at ICFP and CUFP and it was really inspiring to see what other people are doing with functional programming. I look forward to attending in the future! I think I'll have to write an app in Haskell first though, so I can understand more of the ICFP talks ;)
If you're interested in Erlang I also recommend that you check out my other erlang posts particularly the video and slides from my Exploring Erlang @ C4[1] talk!
Thanks for the slide deck.
I’d love it if you blogged about your experiences with mnesia and vertica.

Thanks Bob. I wasn’t at CUFP, so would be grateful if you could expand a bit on these two points:
- “Erlang open source not always robust”
- “Lists are not a good data type for strings”
Also, out of curiosity, what do MochiCrypt and MochiScore do?

Thanks Bob. Great talk. I was so sure you’d stick around for the Erlang workshop that I didn’t grab the opportunity to thank you in person - my bad. Let me make up for it with a beer next time.

Great slides. I especially appreciated the “network partitioning sucks” slide :) Could you please maybe share your experiences and possibly solutions re: network partitioning? I ran into this problem in the context of RabbitMQ cluster (http://lists.rabbitmq.com/pipermail/rabbitmq-discuss/2008-September/002001.html), and was not able to find a solution.
